Sonic Automotive was looking to revolutionize the pre-owned auto industry, to accomplish this they worked tirelessly for two years to innovate this highly profitable space by appealing to a younger demographic and exhibiting exemplary customer experience.
The EchoPark store concept was designed and engineered from the ground up: a contemporary, low-stress pre-owned car shopping experience unlike anything in the automotive industry. It is a shining example of how to truly differentiate the customer experience, by integrating state-of-the-art environments from outside the auto industry, with high-end finishes, and a low-pressure sales strategy.
The store space was designed with bright, contemporary colors, couches and comfy chairs in welcoming conversation spaces that encourage comfortable dialog about the buyer’s budget and needs.
Technology is integrated throughout the store to encourage customers to shop at their own pace. The Imagine Bar features tablet stations in front of a 42-foot video wall, shoppers can use the tablets to do research on vehicles EchoPark offers as well as any other automotive website.
It took many partners working together to bring this revolutionary buying experience to life. HUGE developed the branding and digital experience, ai DESIGN GROUP, Inc. was the AOR for the Denver locations, Rives Construction Company, Inc. served as the general contractor for the Denver Hub store, Unified AV Systems were responsible for the digital hardware, while WD Partners collaborated with the team on strategy, environment design, graphic design, architecture, estimating and vendor selection.
